Learn to love what you have now

Every now and then, I got a lot of people telling me things, like....

"Hi, I have an appointment with you to discuss about this project."
"You are?"
"I'm Keny... "
"Oh, I thought you are a guy..."

Even when I receive phone calls....

Me: "Hello?"
"Oh, sorry. Is Mr. Keny there?"
"This is Keny.."
I can hear the person whispered to the person next to him, "How come it's a girl?"

And the very common case...

You are Keny? Your name sounds like a guy.... 

I........... I don't know what to say.. lol

It never happen to me before. These things started to hit me when I came to Singapore. I was a bit shock. There are a lot of people telling me that my name sounds like guy. I'm not talking about one or two.. or ten... I'm talking about almost 50 people. One out of 5 person will tell me the same thing.

"Oh? I don't know that you are a girl..."

"I thought Keny is suppose to be a guy's name.."

At first, I thought, ok... That's not a big thing. But when a lot of people started to telling me the same thing, I got a lil bit annoyed. I mean, ok that's fine if you thought that I'm a guy.. But now that I'm standing here in front of you, you shouldn't be telling me this kind of thing. Stop adding those unnecessary comments "OMG, I thought you are a boy. Wow, I thought Keny is suppose to be a guy's name. I think your dad wanted a boy." Do I look like a guy to you? Obviously I'm not. Nobody ask your opinion la. Shut the fuck up.

Because of this, I asked few of my Indonesian friend. "Does my name really sounds like guy's name?"
They said, not really. Most of them think that it doesn't sounds like guy's name. So, I would conclude that, in my country, Keny is not a stereotype of a guy's name. BUT, In other country maybe it is. That's why people already have a mind set that I'm a guy when they heard my name. Further, my friend's boyfriend's name is Kenny. Oh god why........

When I was annoyed, I asked myself, why does this happen to me? I'm suppose to be a beautiful and sweet girl (you can puke if you want to, that's alright). I hate my name. My parent's could have pick me a cute name, like............. I don't know. I can't think of any.. Maybe like Snow(?) or Queenie.. lol.

But then I thought, why should I? I mean, when people say that my name sounds like guy's name, nothing serious happen. I didn't loss any of my legs, I didn't grow penis just because of that.. Why should I be annoyed? I can just ignore them and accept this as my routine.

So, one day.. I started to accept this. I feel that, why should I hate this name? Let's just think that this is a unique name. Yah! why not? Not many people have this types of name, right?

Ever since then, I start to love my name more and more. Keny Coangharja. In this world there's only one person who named Keny Coangharja, and that person is me! Instead of being sad because people telling me things that's not important and totally useless, I feel that it's more important for me to hold on to things that make me happy.

Instead of being sad and angry all day that has no benefit at all, you should find something positive from things that happened. The very common one is, I'm glad that I'm a live.

You are sick? Be thankful that you are still alive. You are healthy! Be thankful that you are healthy, you can enjoy all of the good food, go to anywhere you want. You are sad? Be thankful that there's someone who still love you unconditionally, like your parents. You are ugly? Be thankful that you are not disabled. You are disabled? Don't loss hope. Be thankful that you are still alive.

Don't spend half of your life complaining and thinking how sad you are. Everyone have their own value. Find this one thing that you have inside that can make you happy. Love yourself. Be thankful of what you have now.

Another story....

Once upon a time.. lol
Cut the bullshit, there's this one lady who always say that she is useless. She said that her hand is useless. She complain about her husband didn't love her, her everyday job is cooking at the kitchen. "I worked so hard, but no one appreciate me. I don't need my hand. My hand is useless. Nobody appreciate my work anyway"

So, one day this lady was cooking in the kitchen. She was preparing to pour a pot of hot oil to another container. She accidentally dropped the oil and she slipped and fell on the floor. My god, her hand accidentally went into the pot of hot oil. Because she was fat, she can't move her body immediately.

She was rushed to the hospital. Her hand was almost cooked. I really can't imagine how it looks like. But I saw her hand few days ago, the scar looks kinda terrible.

From there, she learn to appreciate what she have. She said, because she never appreciate it, that's why it was almost taken away from her.

I hope you learn something today..
Love what you have now. You never know what will happen the next day.. You can never know when things will be taken away from you. The time is now.

Fucking bullshit.. When the day has come, people will be like, "Ohh, sorry, the bible was a bit dusty. I blow all the dust already and removed some coffee stain there. Turns out the world is gonna end at 3013. Sorry about all these mess"

Fuck you, man..... Can you imagine if the doctors believe in all this bullshit? When a baby was born in 2012, the doctor said something like,

"Your baby is healthy, but I feel sorry for you.. Your baby won't survive for more than 1 year. 21 Dec is getting nearer.."

WTF.. Stupid dumbass people. What has got into you? It's just a calender. Every calender has and ending date just like our normal calender. Probably because mayan people were all dead, that's why nobody continue the calender.. lol

My calender ends at 31 Dec 2012. Why nobody make a fuss about it? BECAUSE IT MEANS THE CHANGE OF THE YEAR!! Next calender is 2013.. I don't want to hear any bull shit about Friday the thirteen in 2013.....

Thai movie fever!

I've been watching a lot of Thai movie these few days.. In my opinion, Thai movie has different story than the regular western movie. The story line of western movies are mostly about love story that the ending can be predicted. With a lot of kisses, hugging, bed scene and sex, as if love is only about those things.

While Thai movies, they usually have different story line which I really like. I don't like the regular movies as in the normal story line. They meet, they feel in love, some random girl came, they keep their shit together and happy ending. In fact, I don't really like happy ending. I prefer realistic ending or at least different type of story line....

Back to Thai movies, Thai have many types of movies as well. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their romance comedy movies. Like,

This is one of the latest Thai romance comedy movie.

Bangkok Traffic Love story or First Kiss

This movie is very funny, but it has a very sad or rather touching ending. Even my mum said it's very nice.
It's a story of the younger guy and older woman relationship.

Fabulous 30

This movie is kinda funny. It's about the love story of elder woman and younger guy as well.
This movie has less comedy. It's more to the story.
Actually, I watch this movie first then I watch First Kiss and I find that first kiss is actually funnier than this movie. I mean, this movie is funny, but this movie is more to the romance.. Nevertheless I like this movie.

This is a romance comedy movie.
When a couple work in the same company, they have higher chance of committing fraud and things like that. That's why this couple were secretly dating.
Because of this company policy, this couple made a stupid bet.
"The loser will have to get out from the company."
It has nice story, funny, with an unexpected ending!


The last movie is called:
Top secret (The Billionaire)

This movie is about this guy, he is a young guy who doesn't like school.
He prefer to make money in his own way.
In the end, he is the one who produce one of my favourite food now!!
I'm so glad that he didn't give up, because I love that food so much.

I hope you guys enjoy these movies because I really do! Haha.. Maybe I should learn Thai language, because they have the movie that I want.

People that pissed me off!

Let me go straight to the point.....

1. People who reply one word text

I'm not talking about those people who reply one word text because that's the answer. It would be weird if people try to avoid one word text because they know that it pissed me off...

"Hey what is your name?"
 "Keny"
You can't force someone to reply more... like,
"Keny Keny Keny Keny Keny"
That's stupid

I'm talking about this....

"Hey, where should we go for revision? Library or Starbucks?"

I was confused.. lol

It not very surprising how lazy people can be. Did you even read? What the fuck is yes?

Maybe she was in the middle of something that's why she reply me with "Yes." She think by answering yes, roughly it will answer all the problems.. But that's not appropriate and it's stupid. Can you imagine, you were the bomb squad.... You are not sure which cable to cut and you asked,

"Which cable should I cut? The red cable or yellow cable?"

and the person replied you, "Yes"

and then........... BOOOOOM!!!

"Yes" is not the answer for everything......

If God answer YES to everybody, to every prayer, to every wish, to everything, this world will be in a big chaos. "God please let me win the lottery," and the answer is yes. Then everyone won the lottery. If I'm not mistaken, lottery has only one price. So, if everyone win, the money will be divided by the amount of the winner. 1 Million dollars price divided by one million winners. So, one person only gain one dollar from this. Is this good?

......AND SO IS "K"

Gosh.. I really hate it when people answer me with one word text. It's usually cause some problem like that.

Firstly, you make me think that you don't want to talk to me anymore. "K" is like a universal language for Bitch, I don't wanna talk to you anymore. 

When you reply "K" to me, not only I will stop messaging you, but I also will drive all the way to your house and kick you in the face....... Well at least in my mind.

"Hey, wanna go out?"
"K"

What's that suppose to mean? You don't wanna go but you forced yourself to reply. Is that what you mean? Or maybe it's only me? Because I'm socially awkward, so I tend to get paranoid over things like this.
But for me, really, if you reply me "K" it's like a good bye.. lol.. Don't do that.. it's driving me nuts......

2. Slow driver

Well, if I have the money and time, I will probably sue all those slow driver. It's another thing that drives me nuts!

First of all, the road was empty. Why the fuck were you driving so slow? I mean, I'm a slow driver myself, but this particular slow driver is taking this to a whole new level.

I was driving the other day and this particular car cut me. That's fine bec0z maybe I'm too slow for him (it's a guy btw).

THEN, he fuckin slow down. 

What the.......... If you wanna cut me, means you needa drive faster, I'm too slow for you, you are in a rush... But why the fuck you drive slower when you are in front of me? There was nothing in front of him as well.

I needa buy food for my lunch, I was hungry. So, I cut him again. This time I drive a lil bit faster. There he goes again, he drive pass me again and went slow when he was in front of me...

Isn't that annoying??

That's just an extraordinary example.. Not all human being are an asshole.
There are some other slow driver that driving me nuts too. If you are on the right lane and you drive 30km/h, you deserve to be hit by another car. I'm in Asia, Indonesia in particular. Right lane is used for those who wanna drive fast. If you wanna drive slow, use the left lane. Stop blocking the way for no reason.... Fucking ignorant!

3. I'm on the way.......

There are types of people who like to tell this kind of lie. People called it white lie or something. Bitch, white lie, black like, grey lie, yellow lie, green lie, whatever lie, you are lying! Those people who lie will go to hell! Especially people who always say, "I'm on the way" while you are still at home. Fuck you!

Don't you hate it when you were waiting for someone, for a date for example, and they were late? NO that's nothing compare to this situation..........

I was waiting for my friend at ION Orchard. I arrived there just in time. So I called my friend,

"Hey were are you?" 

and she replied me, 

"I'm on the way." 

In my mind, she is giving me this excitement because she is on her way. She should be reaching within few minutes, at least not more than 1 hour.

15 minutes passed, I called again, "Where are you now?" She gave me the same reply, "I'm on the way"

Fuckin on the way for how long? It's Singapore! It's not that big. From one end to another it's like one hour. If I waited for one hour and she live just near by Orchard Road, means what? When the first on the way she just woke up from bed? That's so wrong..

People should just tell the truth. I mean if you just woke up, just tell me so I can plan accordingly. MAYBE, maybe I will say something like, "You bitch." But, that's because you forget about it. I have the right to get angry.. lol

By saying on the way, you actually creating a mind set where you are going to reach soon. It builds up hope and people will get disappointed. It's better that you tell me the truth rather than give me a false hope that you are reaching soon.

It's the same thing as breaking a promise. Don't do that. Trust is very hard to build.....

4. People who constantly fishing for compliments

Oh.... my..... gawd....
I can't stand these people. Every words that came out from their mouth are like puzzles. It's like they are taking you to a whole new world.

"I look so ugly"

Hmmmm, according to bitches dictionary, this means praise me, tell me I look pretty. Usually, I will just tell the truth. If she look ugly, I will reply yes you actually do and they will get furious because they can't handle the truth. Or if they look pretty,  I will definitely say no.

If this situation was not bad enough, I've encountered this......

"I look so ugly. Unlike you, you look so pretty"

Wow, wow.. stop it right there....
Don't drag me into this fucked up situation. What? You expect me to say I look so ugly, you look prettier?

Ermmm, maybe it's true because I usually don't dress up and I look messy most of the time, but that's not the point! She said that when I look ugly. It's very obvious that she was just fishing for compliments.

She was wearing dress and getting ready to go out. While me? I just came back from school with Tshirt and shorts. If her definition of pretty is something like how I wear, then she definitely is ugly.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I really can't stand people who keep fishing for compliments. I don't usually tell lie just to make people happy. So, that won't work on me. It's really annoying and it's kinda disgusting. Especially they drag me into it.. lol

5. People who like to interrupt

These people really annoy the hell outa me. Not only they interrupt my group conversation, but they also make me feel uncomfortable.

There was this one time where my friends were talking about soccer. Then, here come this guy try to enter the conversation....... Yep, you guessed it, this guy has absolutely no idea about soccer. Then they said something like, "Ronaldo is a good keeper. Don't you think so?"

This guy said, "Yes, he is. I saw him play before. He was good!"

Everybody burst out laughing. Because this guy is kinda close to us, so we don't really mind, and it's kinda funny actually.

I don't find him annoying. He is just a small case. There are some people who totally grossed me out. They don't know about the problem, but they keep LOVE to add unnecessary comment. Oh gawd.. Why do you have mouth? People should learn when to shut up.

I'm not an angel, I don't treat everyone nice. I treat my friend nice, I treat nice people what they deserve. Somehow, I will have one or two person that I don't really like and I don't wanna talk to. When these people try to enter my conversation, I feel a bit uncomfortable. Up till that point, things will still be fine if that person just sit there and listen.

But, NO. Surprisingly, they prefer to let out their unnecessary comment that's not needed. It's really annoying because when that particular person talk, everyone just felt the awkwardness of the atmosphere and tried to end the conversation right there.



I think that's all I can think of. It's 2AM now and I can't sleep. I'm on holiday in Indonesia currently. I don't really update that much when I'm in Indo because normally I will just stay in my room and sleep. LOL, I'm lazy like that...

Oh you look so pretty................

I've been wanting to do this blog post for quite sometimes now... because I feel that people are very dishonest these days..

This post is going to be about those people who say, "Oh you look perfect" and thinking that it means nothing.


As a good friend, or best friend, I feel that it's very important for me to be honest. For me, I prefer to hear the truth when I asked about something rather than hearing a nice lies. I mean, hello..... It's a lie.. you can say whatever you want. You might as well say something even better. Right? "Ohh you look perfect. You look like some beauty pageant!" lol

I give you a comparison..

A situation where I asked my acquittance, "Hey, how do I look?" and the person was like, "Oh, you look great."
I don't really care. Her opinion doesn't really affect me much because she was just an acquittance. Maybe even when she said I look like shit, I probably won't be bother to change. Then, after that, people were looking at me c0z I look weird and some random strangers were staring at me because the color combination of my clothes look like shit. I won't blame her for lying to me. Because she doesn't care and I don't really take her words seriously.

But, you know, some people are trying to be nice. But that's the wrong way! You are lying....


Another situation is, I asked my very close friend, "Hey, I'm trying to dress differently today.. How do I look?" and she replied me, "You look so pretty!"
I was like, ok.. I believe you. Then I head out to meet my boyfriend, for example. He look at me, confused.. "What the fuck are you wearing?" Because he has always been so straight forward.

There you have it.. Which one hurts you more? Let's say the second situation is not my boyfriend. Let's say both of the situation is where strangers were staring at me. They were whispering each other, "Look at that girl. Ewwwwww..." Which one hurts you more?

I trusted my friend's opinion.......

What do you think I will feel? Is my friend trying to make fun of me? Did she do it on purpose? She really want me to go out look like shit is it? I trusted her.....

I feel that, maybe because it's only words. So people did not really take it seriously. It's free, it's easy to say. You can say whatever you want, but do you say whatever you want for your friends? For me, I take words seriously. My friend's opinion or words are important to me.

Or, maybe my friends know some people who are constantly fishing for compliments, they only take good words for a feedback. Once you say, "You look ugly.. You should go and change," they will go crazy and say, "You should probably look at the mirror yourself!"

I, personally, choose my friends. So, I think, for those who I consider as a friend are those people who can click with me and understand me. So, they should know that I'm not the type of person that will fish for compliment.

I prefer my friend to tell me, "You look like shit! Go and change!" rather than, " You look beautiful!" while I look like shit.

I know some of you my think, they are trying to be nice. Yes, I know. But there times where you can be nice to me, like when I win a competition, when I win the beauty pageant, when I managed to get the first class honours in my degree, when I got married, when I was sad, when I was happy, and so on.

Being honest and being nice are two different things. Being honest means you tell the truth. "Being nice" doesn't mean that you are being honest. Being nice can be saying good things about someone to make them feel better. Not all nice things are real. Being nice can be not realistic and untrue..

But hey, you can be honest and be nice at the same time. Hmmmm, maybe don't tell me I look like shit. You can tell the person that she looks "ok" as in acceptable, BUT she can look better with this this this (give suggestions). There you go, being nice and honest at the same time. It's not that hard.

See, if you tell someone they look good while they aren't, you are lying.. and when you lie to someone, it makes them hard to believe you next time. For me, If you lie to me, you make me feel that all the words that came out from your mouth are worthless, not even worth my time and my brain cells to process your words.

I appreciate honesty eventhough the truth hurts. My boyfriend is cheating on me, for example, and my friend happens to see that. She just keep quiet but she persuade me to break up with him. When I asked why, she was like, "He is not worth your time, he is not good.." no further explanation. While for me, he treat me well and I don't find any reason why I need to break up with him because I don't know the truth. Then she got angry and she thought I was being ridiculous to holding on to this relationship... In the end the friendship break just because of that. Stupid right?

She could have just tell me that he was cheating on me therefore I should break up with him. But NO, she didn't.... Why? because she don't want to hurt me and she was "being nice". Ahh...... bitch.. that's not being nice.. That's lying!
Sorry for the vulgarities but I'm really pissed with these kind of people.. I want a cooler reason for my friendship to break. For example, one of us died or .............. I can't think of any right now except that.

I really feel that people should just be honest. I don't want to have a mind set that, "You are lying" or "Is she lying?" It's very tiring... I honestly feel that, I would rather be friend with a slut than a liars.

I would rather my friend tell in front of my face. "Bitch, why you talk to my boyfriend?" Easily! Easily I can explain and clear things up.

Imagine you ask your best friend, "Are you mad at me?" She replied you nicely, "No, no worry."
Behind you she was ranting about you, "That slut was flirting with my boyfriend."

See, dishonest will fuck things up real hard.

Now here, I'm going to say, two of my very close friends are not liars. That's why I love them. They are very honest and they give a good advice. Although sometimes they are not very realistic, but honesty is the most important. The worst thing a person can do to me is lying..

Maybe this is just me. I have unique way of thinking. I was lied over and over again till there was one point of time, I can't trust anyone. Not even myself! When I looked at my school notes, I don't trust what I wrote there.. lol
